Mississippi Sin Dip Recipe: A Super Easy and Flavorful Crowd-Pleaser

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can 4 oz diced green chilies, drained
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce I like to use a mild one, but adjust to your taste
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix the dry packet
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded (you can use rotisserie chicken for convenience)
  • 1 cup green onions chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Mix Everything Together

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar, mozzarella, green chilies, hot sauce, and ranch seasoning mix. Give everything a good stir until it's nice and smooth. The texture will be thick and creamy—just the way we like it.

Step 2: Add the Chicken

  • Next, fold in the shredded chicken. If you’re using rotisserie chicken, just shred it with your hands or a fork. The chicken is what really takes this dip to the next level, adding protein and that extra savory flavor. Plus, it makes this dip feel a little more like a meal, which is great for parties or casual gatherings.

Step 3: Bake Until Golden

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and transfer the dip mixture into an oven-safe dish. You can use a 9x9-inch baking dish or a similar-sized one—whatever you have on hand. Spread it out evenly, and then sprinkle a little more shredded cheese on top for that perfect golden, melty finish.
  • Pop it in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye on it toward the end to make sure the top doesn’t get too brown.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  • Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool for just a minute, then garnish with chopped green onions. The green onions add a nice fresh bite to balance out the creaminess of the dip. Serve with your favorite chips, crackers, or fresh veggie sticks. It’s a dip that’s just begging to be shared!
