Easy Hot Crab Artichoke Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons seafood seasoning like Old Bay
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese divided
  • ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 2 6-ounce cans of lump crab meat, drained
  • 1 14-ounce can of artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 –3 green onions finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Prep the Oven Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. A well-prepared dish ensures easy cleanup and no sticky mess later.
  • Mix It Up In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and seafood seasoning. Use an electric mixer for a silky smooth blend, or stir vigorously by hand if you want a little arm workout.
  • Fold in the Good Stuff Gently mix in the crab meat and chopped artichokes. Take care not to break up the crab too much – those chunks are what make the dip amazing. The artichokes add texture and a mild tanginess that complements the crab beautifully.
  • Assemble the Dip Spread the mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the remaining Parmesan and cheddar cheeses, then dust with paprika for a bit of color and flavor.
  • Bake to Perfection Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden. Keep an eye on it towards the end to avoid overbaking – the perfect dip is creamy, not dried out.
  • Garnish and Serve Top with chopped green onions for a pop of freshness, if desired. Serve warm with crackers, crostini, chips, or fresh veggies. The contrast of warm, cheesy dip with crisp dippers is absolutely divine.
